Jennifer's a Romantic!

I might not say this often enough in this forum, but I love my wife Jennifer deeply. Despite this deep and abiding love, Valentine's day is one of those days that I live in dread of. Not that I think that I can't find romantic gifts to express my love, only that Jennifer's not going to care no matter how extravagant my expressions of love. You see, by her own admission, Jennifer doesn't have a romantic bone in her body. As an example of this, when I asked Jennifer what she wanted for Valentine's Day, she decided after considerable thought that she needed a new pair of jeans. Now, I am not qualified to discuss the special bond a woman can form with a good pair of denim, but roses and chocolate it ain't.

Despite this, Jennifer has done a remarkable job in formulating her Valentine's plan for me. Behold the Renaissance Hotel, where Jennifer and I will have a fancy suite in the lap of luxury. The suite includes a tray of fruit and crackers as well as milk and fresh made cookies (which isn't so much romantic, but it sounds delicious). I'm hoping that I will find the connecter dohicky that allows me to download digital pictures to my laptop, but until then, enjoy these pictures I stole from the Renaissance Hotel website.

The website claims that every room has a view of the Dallas skyline, which I don't think is possible, but what do I know?

One of the many ammenities boasted by the hotel is a rooftop pool, which I seriously doubt we will be taking advantage of in the middle of February, but I'm packing my swin suit just in case.

T Bones is the fancy resturant in the hotel that we will be eating at. Yeah, like I was really going to have a special occasion and not talk about the food.

A picture of a random room that may or may not be similar to what we will have. Pretty impressive.

Anyway, the point of the post is just to say that my wife rocks and I am very lucky.
